Superboy is joining the action for season 2 of DC's Titans, casting Australian actor Joshua Orpin in the role.
And no, he's not a young version of Superman or his little brother or nephew or something. He's a clone made from the DNA of Superman and his arch nemesis Lex Luthor.
Superboy (aka Conner Kent) is officially described as an "angsty teenager of steel searching for purpose and the truth about his past".
"While looking for answers, he crashes into the world of the Titans where he finds an unlikely home and surrogate family as well as revelations that carry more complications than he ever bargained for."
Fans got their first glimpse of Superboy when he made a dark, nude cameo in the post-credits of the Titans season finale, breaking out of the laboratory in which he was spliced into existence and saving a dog with glowing red eyes: Krypto.
And Conner's emergence signals what's likely to be a major thread for the second season of Titans.
