Love Island star and West End performer Amber Davies has urged fans to "be kind" after this weekend's Strictly Come Dancing, in which she topped the leaderboard with a score of 40 and then ended up in the dreaded Dance-Off.
The Musicals Week-themed quarter-finals saw Amber and professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin performed a Charleston to 'Sit Down, You're Rocking the Boat' from Guys and Dolls.
The judges gave them a perfect score, yet the lack of public votes landed them in the bottom two against fellow front-runners Lewis Cope and Katya Jones. The decision to save them was unanimous.
Following the airing of the results show, Amber took to her Instagram to ask fans not to send negativity over what happened.
Guys, please... [it] really is just a television show," she wrote on a post. "I wasn't even supposed to be in the comp.

She shared that message to her Stories and added: "The meanies are out to play. Please be kind."

"On a lighter note, I see the support and love. And it makes me want to cry," she wrote in a further Story.
"I love you all lots, thank you from the bottom of my heart."
Amber also shared a post in tribute to Lewis, with a series of a photos and a caption calling herself his "number 1 fan".
To go up against one of the greatest dancers [Strictly] has ever seen was simply terrifying, however I was actually dancing against my best friend in this competition, and that broke my heart," she wrote.
"You're both simply the greatest of all time & I love you both immensely."
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
