Strictly Come Dancing star Jowita Przystał has responded to rumours that she is romantically involved with her celebrity dance partner Pete Wicks.

The pair have sparked plenty of speculation over the nature of their relationship since being partnered up for the 2024 series of Strictly, with even Pete's best friend Sam Thompson and Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood commenting on their chemistry.

However, while speaking to OK! Magazine at the Pride of Britain Awards earlier this week, Jowita confirmed that she and Pete are just good friends.

The professional dancer also had high praise for Pete's best friend Sam Thompson, saying: "Don't tell Pete, but Sam is my favourite. I honestly love it when he comes round to the rehearsal room. He's such a ray of sunshine.

"I always welcome him in, I absolutely adore this man, and I think him and Pete have such a beautiful relationship. Their friendship is above and beyond.

"To have him and to have his support, he literally supports Pete all the way, so it's just so lovely to see that."

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
