It's not all bum-baring sex scenes and handsomely raised eyebrows from lead Tom Hiddleston when it comes to BBC One's The Night Manager, you know.

As the fifth outing, the series' penultimate episode, aired tonight (March 20), it was a clear reminder that this tense thriller is well, tense and thrilling. Warning: spoilers ahead.

Firstly, there was the sequence that seemed to blow's half the show's budget - and the audience's minds. 

Hugh Laurie's Roper quite literally put his money where his mouth is and displayed all the arms he wants to sell to a potential buyer, resulting in a rather visual series of explosive scenes all across South East Turkey.

Then there was THAT character death. Yep, we haven't seen rage like that in a while as Tom Hiddleston got his knuckles (not bum) out to get rid of Corky.
