Eve Myles and Katherine Kelly's Paramount + crime thriller The Crow Girl promises 'chilling reveals' and 'darker cases' as the streamer confirms a summer release.
Along with first-look pictures, Paramount+ has shared that the series will return on Monday 20 July as the synopsis for the second season teases a gritty return for the thriller.
It reads: "Season two sees DCI Jeanette Kilburn's (Myles) hunt for the killers of young male asylum seekers take a shocking new turn, as a mummified body discovered in a church wall, and a body in a freezer, reveal a chilling connection.
"As Jeanette digs deeper, Dr. Sophia Craven (Kelly) begins to suspect Victoria Burkeman, her mysterious and unstable former patient could be responsible. With the case growing darker, Sophia suspects Victoria is more familiar than she thought, and Jeanette must face the terrifying truth: the killer may be closer than she ever imagined."
As well as hinting at the intensity of the new cases, the new images tease Sophia and Jeanette's on-going romance, with steamy pics showing the pair sharing an intimate evening together.
The thriller is set to return after its first season managed to score an impressive 88% on Rotten Tomatoes with critics praising Myles and Kelly's "solid performances", while viewers raved about its intensity.
