The Teacher is returning for a third season and fans "can't wait" to start watching. The drama first aired in 2022, starring Sheridan Smith and Kelvin Fletcher, and returned for a second season in 2024 with Kara Tointon and Will Mellor.
The Crown and Unforgotten star Victoria Hamilton is set to lead the cast for the third instalment of the channel five show, with a new trailer – which you can watch above – giving us our first glimpse of her character.
Hamilton is set to star as Miss Simpson, a teacher who is promoted to the Head of Drama at a prestigious private school.

The trailer shows friction between the students and teacher, sparking "a battle between the generations" as Miss Simpson is questioned over her views on transgender and homosexual people.
"Words have consequences," the clip teases, as a body is wheeled from the school and Miss Simpson and her students watch on, devastated.

Fans of the show were quick to take to social media to air their excitement, saying that they "can't wait" for the new episodes to drop.
Commenting on Instagram, one user said: "I love Victoria Hamilton’s performances and this is exciting!"
"I wish we could watch this in the US," another wrote, while a third said: "I'm so, so, so excited."

Others said it looked "insane", while many compared it to her role in Unforgotten as university lecturer Juliet Cooper.
"Oh my gosh this looks so good. I need to watch this," another commented.
EastEnders star Navin Chowdhry is also set to appear in the show, with a release date yet to be announced.
A synopsis for season three teases: "Caught repeatedly stumbling over student Dee’s correct pronouns, Helen is then challenged by outspoken pupil Cressida over her decision to use Shakespeare as opposed to more modern dramatic works.
"A difference of opinion rapidly turns into a sinister grudge match, and after a tragic event on school grounds, the situation intensifies when a video emerges suggesting Helen is to blame, and she finds herself being blackmailed."
The first season followed teacher Jenna Garvey (Smith), who found herself accused of having sex with one of her 15-year-old students after a drunken night out.
Season two focused on Dani (Tointon), who has an impulsive affair with colleague Jimmy Spencer (Mellor) while on a school trip, a trip that changes the lives of those in attendance when a student goes missing.
The Teacher seasons one and two can be streamed on Channel 5.
