5's beloved period drama All Creatures Great and Small is back for another season of rescuing animals in the Yorkshire Dales, and you don't have to wait long at all, as it's on TV tonight!

Season 6 will be dropping new episodes every Thursday at 9pm for the next six weeks (plus a Christmas special in December), with Nicholas Ralph, Samuel West, Anna Madeley, Rachel Shenton, and Callum Woodhouse all returning.

There's a load of new cast members too, including Coronation Street's Chris Gascoyne, Hollyoaks' Lucy-Jo Hudson, Waterloo Road's Philip Martin Brown, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim's Gaia Wise, and The Brutalist's Jonathan Hyde.

The new season jumps ahead a few years, setting the action in 1945 with the cloud of World War II finally starting to dissipate.

With peace on the horizon, everyone is looking forward to a brighter future, with changes in society and advancements in technology.

Seasons 2, 3, and 4 all received a 100% positive score on Rotten Tomatoes from critics. Can season 6 repeat that success?

All Creatures Great and Small season 6 is airing Thursdays at 9pm on 5.
