British sitcom Detectorists, starring Toby Jones and Mackenzie Crook, has found itself another streaming home in the UK.

The show is about two eccentric metal detectorists called Lance (Jones) and Andy (Crook) who comb the fields of Danebury for hidden treasures.

The show also explores themes of male bonding, the joy of hobbies, the English countryside and the past.

Originally running on BBC Four between 2014 and 2022 for three seasons and two Christmas specials, the show is still available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

But it has now also been added to Disney+ for those who prefer to watch there, although, at the time of writing, the final Christmas special is not available on that platform.

Another fan praised how the show "deals with the very realistic mundane aspect of everyday life, similar to what other shows have done, but unique in its own way, it doesn't jazz anything up".

They added: "Every aspect of it is realistic because it portrays the mundanity and awkwardness of life but portrays it in a very human way. Every conversation feels natural."

Detectorists is available to watch on BBC iPlayer and Disney+ in the UK.
