Beyond Paradise star Zahra Ahmadi has elaborated on the "flirty" Archie (Jamie Bamber) and Esther moment in season three's debut episode.
During an exclusive interview with Digital Spy, the Esther actress hinted that an impending romance was on the cards for Esther and Martha's ex-fiancé Archie.
"So yes, there is a flirty exchange between Esther and Archie in the first episode," said Ahmadi. "I think that he kind of catches her off guard, because I don't really think she's gone to this event to necessarily find a date. I think she's just gone because the whole crew have gone and they've had the invite."
Ahmadi continued: "Certainly she does think he's a good looking guy. She talks about it in series one. She comments on the fact that he's very attractive and that starts a whole discussion with Humphrey (Kris Marshall) about Martha's ex but I think because of his approach, her interest gets a bit piqued."
The Beyond Paradise star teased what's to come for the pair beyond the initial exchange, stating: "I think she's open [to more], but I think she's also a good friend. There does come a point in the exploration of this thing with Archie that she feels guilty and that perhaps she's not being a good friend to Martha (Sally Bretton) because they have started up quite a good friendship."

Ahmadi's character isn't the only one exploring things romantically this season. Kelby (Dylan Llewellyn) is set to delve into the world of online dating.
"Kelby's puppy love affair finishes with him and [Chief Superintendent] Charlie (Jade Harrison)," Llewellyn explained to Digital Spy. "It's [a relationship] that I think a lot of us would root for but at the same time I just don't think it would have worked in the end. They're just two different people and also being in the same job can be tough as well."
He added: "I think they've got a real respect for each other, but I think he's a bit of a fumbling mess. But he's moving away from that, which is great, and he's getting over her, and trying to look for someone that is interested in him.
"Kelby deserves love and I hope he finds it. Hopefully in this season."
