Taskmaster star Iain Stirling has been confirmed as the host of a new comedy show, which is said to be “packed with laughs.”
The comedian, who appeared in the eighth season of the Channel 4 show, will front Roast the Internet for Comedy Central, where he will be joined by a range of guests as they poke fun at a variety of “dreadful online content,” (via British Comedy Guide).
Sharing their “personal online bugbears”, Stirling and his guests will be “offering up some ingenious and hilarious solutions to the dumpster fire that is the online world... taking the Internet down a peg or two, while all also secretly hoping their best bits will go viral.”

Stirling, who is also the narrator of Love Island, said of the project: “I'm so excited to be involved in this project which allows me to collaborate with some of my favourite people in TV (and the Internet) and lets me doom-scroll TikTok while calling it work!”
“The internet is a chaotic, ridiculous place, and who better to make sense of it all for us than Iain Stirling?” added Luke Hales of Comedy Central UK. “With his unique comedy voice at the heart of the show and a brilliant line-up of guests, this series is packed with laughs - a real treat for our audiences on Comedy Central UK.”

The guests for Roast the Internet are yet to be confirmed, though the report does state that a non-broadcast pilot featuring Maisie Adam, Desiree Burch and Mat Ewins was shot last year. There is no confirmed release date for the series, though we do know it will consist of eight hour-long episodes.
Roast the Internet will be the first time Stirling has fronted a project since CelebAbility, which ran for seven seasons and 52 episodes before ITV cancelled the panel show back in 2023.
Iain Stirling's Roast the Internet has no release date yet.
