This Morning star Vanessa Feltz has shared the truth around her exit, revealing she "would happily have stayed".
It was recently confirmed that the TV presenter had landed her own show on ITV rival Channel 5, with the star subsequently confirming her departure from This Morning after more than three decades.
Vanessa has now opened up a bit about leaving the show, admitting she would have stayed if she could, though being on both shows is "not the way it’s done".

"I love This Morning, I would never leave it, I couldn’t love it more," she told Metro. "I would happily have stayed and gone on the back of a motorbike from the This Morning studio straight to Channel 5 and done both.
"I almost believed I’d be able to do that, but I think apparently, it’s not the way it’s done… but I’d have done it, and I think they would have been happy for me to do it too."

The star went on to confirm there was no drama, saying: "I love doing it, they like me, we all love each other, and I know that sounds very cosy and all of that, but it gets like that after a while when you’ve been there so long and know everyone, it’s a great pleasure doing it."

Vanessa explained that she "didn’t leave" and is "just doing something else", adding: "It’s only to do with the fact that I’ve got this opportunity to do a new show, but I love it there."
The star previously revealed to the Daily Star that she "can't do both" shows, sharing that when she told her colleagues she "wouldn't be able to do the show anymore", they "were lovely about it".
"I heard from Alison Hammond and Holly Willoughby immediately and the bosses were charming. I'll miss working with them all."
Her new series Vanessa, which debuts next week, will be centred around topics such as celebrity, fashion, parenting and gossip.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and ITVX. Vanessa will launch March 24 on Channel 5 at 12.45pm.
