A poster for Taskmaster star Fern Brady's new stand-up show has sparked an investigation.
The comedian is currently touring her show I Gave You Milk To Drink, which has been promoted with a poster depicting Brady feeding breastmilk to a priest in front of a stained glass window.
However, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has revealed that one complaint was made about the poster, which it is now investigating.
"The complainant has challenged whether the ad is offensive because they believe it mocks the Christian faith," it said in a statement (via Evening Standard).

"We have launched a formal investigation. But no decision has been reached on whether the ad breaks the UK advertising rules."

Brady herself has responded to the controversy, sharing a video clip on Instagram captioned: "Whoever complained about the poster, thanks a lot! Tickets for Apollo and all my milky titty shows are in the link in my bio. #comedy #apollo #london #breastfeedingmama."
She went on to say in the video: "Tickets were selling well. It was all looking good. And then some virgin complains to the Advertising Standards Authority about my beautiful tour poster. There's not even anything wrong with it. Why are you complaining?

"So that's why I have to tell you about it here. It's the 1st of November. Come along," Brady added of her upcoming London show. She then joked: "If you're the person that complained about the poster, I hope you never come!"
She later shared an article about the ASA probe, writing: "A Catholic would have just said 'The Lactation of St Bernard' so this complaint has Protestant energy written all over it."
Brady took part in the 14th season of Taskmaster in 2022, competing alongside Dara Ó Briain (who went on to win), John Kearns, Munya Chawawa and Sarah Millican.
Taskmaster airs and streams on Channel 4. A Junior Taskmaster spinoff has been confirmed.
