Doctor Who's showrunners and stars from across the years have shared their messages to mark the beloved show's 60th anniversary.

Cast of the BBC's sci-fi series wished a happy birthday to the show, which aired its first-ever episode on November 23, 1963. The show would go on to air 26 series before returning for a revival consisting of 13 instalments and several specials, with a 14th chapter to premiere next year.

Doctor Who star David Tennant, who played both Tenth and Fourteenth Doctor, led the tribute to the show on social media, joking that the Doctor is now older than him.
