Cold Feet viewers were brought to tears on Monday night as beloved character Charlie Sinclair returned from the dead.

Played by Ivanno Jeremiah, Charlie was a friend of Jenny Gifford's (Faye Ripley) who lost his battle to cancer in season 8.

On Monday's episode, in an attempt to come to terms with her own chemotherapy, Jenny went to sit on Charlie's bench, only for him to appear as a figment of her imagination and offer advice.

Speaking about her chemotherapy scenes, Ripley recently told The Mirror Online: "I can't emphasise enough, I'm aware I am pretending. For me, it's about responsibility and getting it right.

"For the people actually going through it, it's life and death – it's family, it's fear. It's the really big, scary stuff in life."
