Hundreds of LEGO sets are released every year, and 2026 is no different. From movie tie-ins including LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Mario and LEGO Disney, to the hugely popular LEGO Formula 1, and even the beautiful LEGO Botanicals, there's a set to suit everyone's interests.
The top LEGO sets to build in 2026
This year, the London Toy Fair revealed its top 30 hero toys for 2026 and LEGO clinched two of the spots with its Minecraft Biomes and Botanicals Tulips. New to 2026 includes a collaboration with FIFA and an extension of the Minecraft and Looney Tunes, and rumours of more builds from Star Trek and Zelda.
In the meantime, we reveal our favourite LEGO sets worth buying in 2026.
LEGO FIFA World Cup Official Trophy (LEGO 43020)
While the longed-for trophy is out of reach for us mere mortals, that doesn't stop you from buying your very own FIFA World Cup in LEGO form.
Created to mark this year's tournament, at 36cm high it's impressive in stature. It's worth building just to hide behind if we end up doing penalties again…
LEGO Minecraft Mini Biomes (LEGO 21589)
Nearly a year on from the Minecraft movie release and with a second film on the horizon (not until July 2027, admittedly), the appetite for Minecraft builds remains strong.
The Mini Biomes is one of the London Toy Fair's top 30 hero toys and reflects the different Minecraft worlds, including Savanna, Mountain and Mushroom fields to name a few.
Presented as a landscape design, you can switch between night and day for a change of scenery. While it's a modest 797 pieces, it's intricate enough to be a challenging build for any fan.

LEGO Botanicals: Tulip Bouquet (LEGO 11501)
Another entry in the London Toy Fair's Hero Toy awards, this is the perfect build for anyone eagerly awaiting spring.
With 576 pieces, it builds a dozen tulips along with buds and green leaves to make a bold, bright bouquet that – unlike the real thing – won't wilt.

Once upon a time, Looney Tunes were the afternoon TV treat for many, and if you're looking forward to this summer's movie release, LEGO has got you covered with the release of two builds from the franchise – Tweety Pie and Bugs Bunny.
Accompanied by a spring flower, bee and the all-essential carrot, Bugs is built climbing out of a rabbit hole with posable parts that allow you to get really animated with it.
LEGO Pokémon Pikachu with Poké Ball (LEGO 11372)
Part of LEGO's first ever collaboration with Pokémon, it would be remiss to not include Pikachu in this round-up. A nod to its Pokédex number can be found on the display, while the lightning bolt details on the stand and tail pay homage to its Electric-type.

LEGO Icons: Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Ship (LEGO 10365)
While there have been other sets previously on sale tied in with the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, this is one of the biggest at a whopping 2,862 pieces.
Dramatic in stature, the eight minifigures allow you to turn this into the ultimate pirates' playground (bottom of rum optional).
We love the small details that add extra character, including the Captain's quarters and pirates' loot hidden away.
LEGO Icons: Autumn Cottage Garden (LEGO 11372)
Part of the Icons range (although you could be forgiven for assuming it belongs to the Botanicals one, too), the gorgeous colours remind us of the Japanese red maple bonsai tree.
A beautiful windowsill or bookshelf display, this leans into the cottagecore homes trend that's still going strong. We love the attention to detail in this scene, from the creatures in the stream to the birdhouse.

A worthy collaboration with the Oracle Red Bull racing team, this build is a 1:8 scale model of the team's 2024 challenger and, as you'd expect from a Technic set, it has a serious level of detail.
With a two-speed gearbox, pull-rod suspension and authentic colour, every brick is all ready to build, with no fiddly stickers to add on.
There's also a smaller scale (251 pieces, to be exact) LEGO Speed Champions model available for the lower price of £22.99.
LEGO Icons: Golden Retriever puppy (LEGO 11384)
If the LEGO tuxedo cat has had its moment, it's only fair that our canine friend has a starring role, too.
Part of the Icons range, you'd be forgiven for thinking that a brick set couldn't possibly mimic the character of a dog but this build has a posable head, ears, paws and tail, removable tongue and closable mouth. Consider this 2,102 pieces of pure joy.

LEGO SMART Play: Darth Vader's TIE Fighter (LEGO 75421)
