Best Star Wars LEGO sets to buy right now, including brand new discounted Boba Fett figure

In a classic case of good versus evil, the characters of The Mandalorian and Grogu are immortalised in BrickHeadz form.

LEGO has a decent line of helmets and busts, including Kylo Ren and The Mandalorian, and not forgetting two newer launches - Yoda and Darth Vader.

This time it's the Imperial Remnant, as seen in The Mandalorian and Grogu. With 775 pieces, once fully built it comes with a stand and plaque for a set worth displaying.

Even though the upcoming film has its own LEGO builds, this build is modelled on the vehicle that's featured in The Mandalorian season 2.

A sleek design, there's plenty of play features that take it beyond just a souvenir piece. The wings can be folded up and down, and the ramp can be lowered for 'landing'. Open the hatches on either side and you'll be able to add or remove the five minifigures - The Mandalorian, Moff Gideon, Pilot, Stormtrooper and Dr Pershing, a first for LEGO.

You know you've achieved icon status when there's a bust dedicated to you, let alone in LEGO form. The latest Star Wars LEGO releases sees both Darth Vader and Yoda immortalised as part of the new LEGO Star Wars Bust collection, each complete with their own minifigure.

It follows the release of Kylo Ren, Jango Fett, The Mandalorian and Captain Rex helmets released in the Star Wars franchise in recent years.

Yoda has had a cameo in many LEGO Star Wars sets, and while his original dedicated LEGO figure is now retired, this happily takes its place.

At 399 pieces, it's a swift but satisfying build and proof that a bust doesn't have to be static. Yoda comes with a lightsaber, and his head and ears are adjustable too.

Both playable and display-worthy, this new take on the classic ship features authentic details from the real thing. You can stow equipment in the rear compartment and adjust the wings to attack mode. Activate the shooters (filled with studs) and use the ladder positioned up the ship, a perfect tool for the three minifigures – Colonel Ward and Carson Teva (meanwhile the New Republic's very own Astromech droid figure will be happily at home behind the cockpit...).

With the movie release set for late May, we're gearing up for all manner of Mandalorian and Grogu themed merchandise.

It's not the first time LEGO has featured Grogu before (there's the smaller figure and Hover Pram for starters), but it certainly is on this scale. At 1200 pieces it's a worthy mission resulting in a display-worthy module. The finished set allows you to turn Grogu's head and adjust different body parts to bring 'baby Yoda' to life.

Part of the latest flurry of LEGO sets released to mark the upcoming The Mandalorian & Grogu film, the Anzellan is a brand new starship with an impressive level of detail.

Three Star Wars minifigures – Grogu and two Anzellans – along with a removable workbench and tools add an extra level of play to this design, along with further features like a removable roof, pull out ramp and cockpit design.

Previous incarnations of Razor Crest from LEGO are either out of stock or retired, so this year's new launch – tied into the movie release – is aimed at the 10+ market and while it's understandably not as complex a build as the 6187-piece 18+ edition, the latest edition still has a decent level of detail.

The cockpit canopy can be lifted off, the side panels opened and landing ramps unfolded for access to the intricate engine, and there's a generous five minifigures with this build, too – Mandalorian, Imperial Remnant Stormtrooper, Colonel Ward, Zeb Orrelios and Grogu.

Part of Lego's brand new Smart Play range, recreate battle scenes from the epic AT-ST attack on Endor with interactive elements such as blaster pistols, a swivelling AT-ST head and minifigures, including a Smart Wicket complete with bow.

It's worth noting that this set doesn't come with the Smart Brick. At the moment, the Smart Brick is available when you buy an 'all in one' set which currently includes the following builds: Luke's Red Five X-Wing, Throne Room Duel & A-Wing, and Darth Vader's TIE Fighter (seen in our list below).

On The LEGO Store's website, each Smart Play set is currently labelled as either 'Smart Play All-in-One’, meaning it comes with a Smart Brick, or 'Smart Play Compatible', which means the set will come with at least one Smart Minifigure and one Smart Tag, but not the Brick.

Any set that comes with ejector couches to send an enemy flying gets a thumbs up from us. There's plenty going on here. The two Smart minifigures of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Greedo can grab a drink at the bar, join the band for a dance on stage and take the Dewback for a ride – the accompanying Smart Tags add in the slurping and drink-mixer noises as well as interactive music, singing and sounds. Just what you want from a Cantina!

The Imperial March, Lightsaber humming – this set has it all. Not pictured is the A-wing, whose engines roar to life courtesy of the accompanying Smart Tags.

Three Smart minifigures are included in this impressive build, including Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine, to help recreate infamous scenes from the Skywalker Saga with added visual and sound effects.

The accompanying Smart Tags are designed to work with the A-Wing, throne, Death Star turret and Lightsaber duels – so while this is the most expensive of the trio of Smart Play sets on offer, there's plenty of play to be had from this.
