When it comes to selling your home, we all know the importance of taking lots of lovely photos to show off what's on offer.

But when an Australian couple recently set about taking some professional shots of their Melbourne family home, the end results featured a surprise photobomb. Safe to safe the image soon went viral...

Listed on the Bell Real Estate's property website, the two-storey property's kitchen looks like your usual interior space, complete with wooden floors and door frames, a sink and cabinets.

But take a look for yourself. Can you spot the unplanned guest?

The addition is the mischievous little boy poking his head around the door frame, looking directly into the camera.

The 3-year-old boy is the couple's son, and was spotted in the photo by a family friend.

His mother, Jenny McAdam, was as surprised as anyone to see her son's face in the photo.

"We were huddling in the laundry locking him in," McAdam told The Courier Mail. "Even the real-estate agent was helping me keep him out of the shots."

The eagle-eyed friend, Lorelei Vashti, shared the photobomb on Instagram writing: "I am literally obsessed with this kid who snuck into his family's professional 'house for sale' photo shoot.

"DISCLAIMER: I actually know this kid and this house, it's fantastic and you should all buy it and move out to Belgrave with us."
