Cara thinks it's best for her and Remi to take Thomas back to their place following Chelsea's decision to flee. Paul points out that Chelsea wanted Thomas to stay with him. Although Cara agrees not to disturb Thomas for the moment, she makes it clear that she wants Paul to drop him off the next morning.
The next day, Paul refuses to hand over Thomas, which leads to a heated row with Cara. Leo warns Paul that he has no legal right to Thomas, but Paul vows to fight on. Terese suggests that it's best to have the Varga-Murphys on side, but when Paul tries to hold out an olive branch, Cara is vague in response.
