Wendy tries to bring Sadie and Byron back together. On Wendy's suggestion, Sadie takes part in a 'reframing' exercise and invites Byron, Holly and Max to join her for the occasion. They visualise the fire, but with an alternate outcome where Sadie comes out fine.
This proves to be cathartic for Sadie and brings her closer to Byron, but the progress seems to be limited as she later turns down his offer to help rebandage her wounds.
Meanwhile, Darcy takes a tour of Eirini Rising and becomes concerned about Vera, who's suffering from severe stomach pains. Karl thinks it's just indigestion, but Darcy insists on getting her to the hospital. Darcy's fears are confirmed when Vera is diagnosed with a swollen appendix.
