Detective Rafe Fox starts asking questions about the recent death in Erinsborough. Leo is first to be questioned and Aaron is uneasy that he's lying about seeing the deceased person on the night of the murder. Leo insists that it's a harmless omission and urges Aaron to go along with his plan.
Before long, though, Aaron is forced to be honest with the police. Detective Fox confronts Leo for lying about his whereabouts and reveals that the case is now a murder investigation. To make matters worse, Leo is a person of interest in the inquiry.
Meanwhile, Karl confesses to Darcy that he is taking more than the recommended dosage of painkillers, but he insists that he's in control of the situation. Darcy agrees to keep the information to himself and offers to help wean him off the pills.

Karl is sceptical but when Darcy insists that he has no ulterior motive, he agrees to go along with Darcy's treatment plan.
Elsewhere, Byron is upset that Sadie is still refusing to talk to him after what happened during the garage fire. Following encouragement from her housemates, Sadie finally agrees to see Byron but she's unimpressed by his explanation.
Byron decides that he needs a break from Erinsborough for a while, so he and Nicolette arrange to take a trip with Melanie to visit Victor.
