As the fire at the garage gets worse, Roxy and Max manage to find an exit and call for help. Byron goes back into the building to find that Sadie and Nicolette have collapsed. He makes the split-second decision to save Nicolette first, leaving Sadie to watch on in horror.
Before Byron gets his chance to help Sadie, a piece of the building falls on top of her and blocks off Byron's route, forcing him to retreat. It's only when Andrew and Shane arrive at the scene that they can help Byron finish off the job. By this point, Sadie has suffered serious burns to her back.
At the hospital, Andrew blames Max for causing this mess. He later announces that CCTV footage shows Lachie caused the fire. Roxy is dismayed to learn that Lachie's friendship with her was only ever a ploy to track down Max.
