Byron struggles to bite his tongue as he continues to watch Max and Sadie get closer. When Nicolette suggests he might work through his jealousy if he gives Max a chance, Byron swallows his pride and offers a tentative hand of friendship to Max.
However, when Max continues his playful ways with Sadie, Byron's unable to stay quiet. He unloads on Sadie about what he sees as Max's clear flirtations, but Sadie defends Max's behaviour, only seeing it as friendly.
The couple are left at a frustrating impasse, but when Sadie shares Byron's theory with Max, she's left stunned when the completely casual and brazenly confident Max admits that Byron has it right. He is into her, and he'd like to keep exploring this spark between them…
