As Krista continues to worry about Seb's disappearance, Leo confesses to Aaron that unbeknownst to Krista, he told Seb to leave town. When Leo takes Krista for a walk, she reveals that she introduced Seb to drugs and partying, and is upset because he left before she could help him turn his life around.
With his guilt deepening, Leo tells Krista not to feel bad about something that's out of her control. When Byron tells Krista that he saw Seb with a drug dealer, he's thrown when Leo stops him from mentioning the dodgy guy they saw Seb with at the bar. Leo privately explains to Byron that this was a loan shark, and he didn't want to worry Krista further.
Later, Krista's relieved to get a text from Seb saying he's gone to Sydney. Despite a lingering doubt, she promises to put him out of her mind, leaving Leo hoping he's put things to bed.

Meanwhile, Cara anxiously waits for surgery. She confesses to Remi that she caused her injury while hunting for beef jerky then covered it up. Later, JJ and Dex arrive at the hospital, where Remi tells them Cara is in surgery, but when she's called away to talk to the surgeon after the operation, the boys realise something is wrong.
When they both go to see Cara, Remi asks JJ for privacy, revealing to Cara what the surgeon told her. Due to medical complications, Cara had to have a life-saving, complete hysterectomy. But when Cara is oddly accepting of this, Remi is left deeply concerned.
Elsewhere, Nell surprises JJ with a visit, saying Toadie doesn't know she's there as he's off on a 'secret mission'. Terese is rattled to run into Toadie at Harold's. When he wants to talk to her, she makes excuses, letting him assume she needs to go to work at Eirini Rising.
While Nell and JJ's time together is cut short when JJ is called to the hospital, Toadie catches up with Susan, who's surprised by Terese's white lie, although she doesn't correct it.
Over coffee with Jane and Susan, Terese reveals she's avoiding Toadie because she doesn't want to let him know she fell off the wagon, telling Susan it has to be kept secret.
JJ and Nell meet up again at Harold's, but are soon sprung by Toadie, who's unexpectedly calm. But after Toadie sends Nell outside, he reveals to Terese the real reason he came to Erinsborough – he needs a big favour.
Also today, when Byron, Sadie and Max learn Vera's still having money troubles, Vera quickly turns her housemates' sympathy to her advantage. But when Sadie and Max bond over being duped by Vera, Byron's jealousy surges, more convinced than ever that Max has designs on his girlfriend.
