Krista hasn't yet found the right way to break the news to Leo about Sebastian, but the matter is taken out of her hands when Leo walks into her apartment to find Sebastian in the shower. Guilty and apologetic, Krista tries to explain the situation, with emphasis on the importance of helping Sebastian who's in a tough situation, but Leo finds it hard to see past the secrets she's been keeping and the threat Sebastian clearly posts to Krista's hard won sobriety.
Hoping to appease Leo, Krista directly suggests to Sebastian that maybe she could help him get clean and he goes along with the idea, but Leo's not particularly convinced – especially when he later hears from Byron that it looked like Sebastian was buying drugs.
When Leo confronts Sebastian with this, Sebastian warns him it's not a good idea to go telling tales to Krista – she won't like it if it looks like Leo is working against her oldest friend. Leo is left deeply wary of this whole situation.

Meanwhile, Terese returns home feeling much stronger and more stable after her time in rehab. She and Paul slip back into their routine of friendship, with neither of them quite sure how to bring up the deeper feelings between them that they so nearly addressed before she left.
He's keen to support her in any way he can, suggesting some business-related tasks to keep her busy. But Terese confesses she really wants to return to Eirini Rising, albeit in a non-managerial, working from home capacity. Paul is unsure the Kennedys or residents will go for this plan, but privately urges Karl to consider it – they all let Terese down by not realising she was drinking again – it's important that they do everything they possibly can for her wellbeing now.
Elsewhere, despite the concern of family and friends, Holly ploughs ahead with her plan to give an interview to Blaze for the Crimesborough podcast. Blaze is clearly grateful to have the interview. As the conversation progresses, Holly feels like she's able to set appropriate boundaries and later on she feels great about how the whole thing went – she said exactly what she wanted to say.
But when the podcast drops the following morning, Blaze has edited all her honest and vulnerable words into a new order – making Holly out to be a calculated killer. Holly panics.
