Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks will be saying goodbye to one of its biggest-ever schemers when the soap celebrates it's 30th birthday next month.
Metro reports that Gemma Bissix is set to leave the role of Clare Devine as part of the soap's string of huge 30th anniversary episodes.
A source told Metro that, while Gemma loved playing Clare again, the villain isn't the type who can stay around for long.
"There’s a lot more to come before the final scenes air but it promises to be an exhilarating ending," the source added.
Clare came back from the dead in the summer, uniting for the first time on screen with her sister Grace Black. The character was thought to have died in October 2013 after she was run down by Doctor Browning.

Bissix first appeared as Clare in 2006, taking over the role from Samantha Rowley. She left in 2007 before returning in 2009 as part of Justin and Warren's exit storyline.
She was next seen in 2013 where she made a brief but explosive return which culminated in her death.
Bissix is also known for playing the role of Clare Bates in EastEnders.
Walford Clare left the Square in 2008 after her scheming was uncovered by Bradley Branning.
However the character has been back in the conversation recently, thanks to the return of Clare's adoptive father Nigel Bates last year.
Meanwhile, earlier this week it was reported that James Sutton will be leaving Hollyoaks after 20 years on the soap.
Sutton, who plays John Paul McQueen, is set to exit next year in an "explosive storyline," according to The Sun.
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
