Hollyoaks stars Niamh Blackshaw and Angus Castle-Doughty have confirmed their romance with a sweet Instagram post.
Blackshaw, who plays Juliet Nightingale on the Channel 4 soap, took to her account to share a black-and-white snap of her and Castle-Doughty posing in front of a Christmas tree.
The actress shared her new year's wishes with her followers, confirming she is in a new relationship with her co-star, who portrays villain Eric Foster.

"Happy New Year [blue heart emoji]," Blackshaw captioned the picture.
"A year of growth, learning, kindness, loneliness, boundaries and acceptance. Ending in a better space than it began," she added.

For his part, Castle-Doughty voiced his end-of-year thoughts on Twitter, writing: "2022 saw me move to the other side of the country, take the biggest step in my career, a relationship end and a relationship start."
A recent addition to Hollyoaks' huge ensemble, Castle-Doughty's Eric doesn't share many scenes with Blackshaw's Juliet.
Eric is currently involved in a radical misogyny storyline. Responsible for having spiked several women's drinks and for spewing gender-motivated hatred online, Eric is currently in a bad place following his sister Verity's death.

Determined to find out the truth about him, Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) stole Eric's laptop in order to prove he was The Love Boat spiker.
After losing his sister and only ally, he may be one step closer to getting caught and being brought to justice.
Meanwhile, Juliet isn't faring too well after being diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in recent scenes. As for her love life, she is currently caught between Nadira Valli (Ashling O' Shea) and her ex-fiancée Peri Lomax (Ruby O'Donnell).
Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
