Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox, who plays Nancy Osborne on the show, has warned fans that upcoming storylines will lead to multiple cast exits.

As COVID-19 restrictions start to ease on set, the actress teased the possibility of "more intense scenes".

However, although Fox said it is a "great time to be a Hollyoaks fan", it could be at the expense of some fan favourites.

"There are lots of unexpected things and a host of new faces which bring new energy. But sadly we will also be saying goodbye to some of the show's favourites too."

When asked whether it could see her own character in jeopardy, Fox hinted that Nancy is here to stay.

"I hope not," she said, adding: "They write so well for Nancy, I am so so lucky. I get such a mix of comedy and drama and it's nice being back with Darren [Osborne].
