Hollyoaks has had some absolutely bonkers storylines over the years, so it's no surprise that some of the cast have tried to pitch some wacky and out-there ideas to the soap's bosses over the years.
Nancy Hayton actress Jessica Fox, who has been part of the cast for absolutely ages, revealed to Inside Soap magazine that she really wanted her character to have a twin, but it didn't come to pass (or at least, hasn't yet).
"I once tried to pitch the idea that Nancy should have an identical twin, so I could play two characters," she said. "The twin could be really naughty, and Nancy could still be very strict! That could be a lot of fun to play!"

"But," Jessica butted, "it would take too long to film, so the bosses didn't go for it. With current guidelines, though, it would just be me on set. Maybe I'll pitch it to them again."
The actress also reflected on how Nancy used to be less strict and more of a non-conforming rebellious type, which she said was a lot of fun, although she didn't love Nancy's asymmetrical haircuts, admitting: "Having lopsided hair really messed with my sense of order!"
