Hollyoaks has teased that an innocent person could be held responsible for Tony Hutchinson's disappearance.
Fans know that it was serial killer Breda McQueen (Moya Brady) who stabbed Tony (Nick Pickard) earlier this week, just as she'd done to his son Harry Thompson (Parry Glasspool) weeks earlier.
Nobody back in the village has any idea what's happened to Tony or where he is, but next week will see his wife Diane (Alex Fletcher) become suspicious of Breda's son Sylver (David Tag).
In a preview scene for the week ahead, Diane brings up Sylver's time in prison for supposedly murdering his abusive stepfather (although viewers know Breda was actually responsible).
"Once a killer, always a killer," Diane reasons.
Leela tries to calm Diane down by suggesting that it's unwise to jump to any conclusions while she's feeling so unstable.

"I'd come to terms with the fact that me and Tony were finished, yeah," Diane interjected. "If anything's happened to him, I'll never forgive myself!"
Diane then worries Leela by storming off, telling her that she is determined to "find out the truth" about what has really happened to Tony.
Later, Diane tricks Sylver into coming around to her flat by saying she needs to have him take a look at her couch. She then demands to know if he was the last person to see her husband before he disappeared.
Viewers will have to watch next week to find out if Sylver will go down for the crime his mum committed…
