Hollyoaks star Moya Brady has predicted that fans will turn against Breda McQueen after the tragic death of Harry Thompson.
Ruthless Breda has spent the past year bumping off bad dads in the village, including notorious villains like Glenn Donovan and Mac Nightingale.
In a new chat with Digital Spy, Moya admitted that Breda may have pushed her luck too far by murdering fan favourite Harry in Monday's E4 first look episode (July 22).
Speaking to us about how she felt over the storyline twist, Moya explained: "Well, I know the fans won't like it. Up until now, people have been able to see where Breda is coming from. Especially after she killed Mac – I think that won a lot of people round.
"A lot of people were 'Team Breda' around that time, and Harry's death is going to destroy all of that. But Breda is a serial killer and she's insane, so she's not really a crowd-pleaser.

"I also understand why Breda did it, because she delivered Harry's baby in the middle of the village. She feels very responsible for that child now. Even when we filmed those scenes, it was very intense to do.
"But I know she'll be going down the snake in terms of popularity now. People won't be Team Breda anymore."

Asked whether she'll look at the inevitable online backlash, Moya laughed: "I might have a skim! Sometimes I have to stop myself from replying. But I don't really get that involved in social media – it's a bit of a can of worms. You can't really take on board what people are thinking in their living rooms.
"I know what I think when I'm watching telly in my living room. I'll say: 'Oh, I hate him! Get him off!' When I haven't even met him! So you can't take that on board, you've got to do your job."
Moya also confessed that she'd like to see a variety of different reactions to Breda moving forwards.
Asked whether it's important for people to start disliking Breda, she said: "I would prefer if it's not that simple. It's a much more human story if it's a bit more complex than that.
"I would like people to be on Breda's side, even if they know they shouldn't be, because I think it's more interesting.
"I'm also a feminist. I don't want to kill men, but I do think it's nice to see a middle-aged woman take some power. We don't see it very often. I'd like to see Breda smash the patriarchy, to be honest!
"But at the same time, I genuinely don't advocate violence and Breda takes a bit of a nasty turn now. Up until this point, it's all been a bit cartoony. I think it is getting a little bit nasty, the way she's conducting herself. But I would like it to be a complex question."
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
