Hollyoaks' Harry Thompson is a officially father, but his newborn baby is already facing a menacing threat.

The mother of his unborn child, Sadie Cressington (Alexa Lee), recently came back into his life despite being paid to leave town by Liam Donovan (Jude Monk McGowan) — who is attempting to frame Harry for Grace's hit and run.

In Wednesday's (July 17) first-look episode on E4, Liam once again showed his menacing side when he ponied up more money to get Sadie to leave, this time along with a threat that he'd kill her if she ever returned.

However, Harry spotted a desperate Sadie as she was fleeing and begged her to stay so he could be involved in their child's life. Even though James offered to pay her double, Harry was devastated when the conflicted Sadie fled again.

Sadie didn't get very far though, as she soon went into labour. After Tony found her helpless, he asked Breda and Darren to help carry Sadie into the safety of The Hutch, where he discovered she is the mother of Harry's child.

Tony encouraged Harry to stand by Sadie through the difficult birth, so he stepped up by holding her hand and comforting her as she welcomed their baby boy, Isaac.

Harry's joy was short-lived when James called him, begging him to cut off Sadie once for all if he wanted their relationship to work.

In spite of that plea from James, Harry returned to the hospital with Tony to visit his newborn son Isaac. The episode ended with an ominous cliffhanger, as it was revealed that James was watching father and son bonding from outside the ward.

As Tony walked out, he told James that Sadie would have to give Harry his alibi for the hit and run now, adding: "It hasn't really sunk in yet, but things are going to change."
