Emmerdale's Zak Dingle to hide a secret in Caleb plot

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale's Zak Dingle is drawn into the show's new Caleb Miligan mystery tonight (June 19) as Chas becomes suspicious.

Zak catches Chas' attention as speculation intensifies over who pushed Caleb from a ravine in a brutal attack last week.

In Monday's episode, Chas and her brother Cain both stay by Caleb's side at the hospital, where he's currently in a coma.

Chas is sure that Cain is hiding something, especially when two detectives – DS Raveley and DC Croft – arrive to question him.

Later, Chas continues to keep a close eye on Cain, but she soon realises that Zak is also hiding a secret which could be connected to the mystery.

Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain, recently spoke about the possibility of his character being the culprit in this new Emmerdale whodunit.

He commented: "In terms of if he is capable of gunning for him, I suppose yes he has a motive. He says he's been out walking the dog on Zak's behalf, unbeknownst to the rest of the Dingles.

"But he's not very forthcoming with the truth when they start to question him, which makes it all seem very suspicious."

Asked whether Cain would really be prepared to try killing his own brother, Jeff replied: "I think there is always potential for anything with Cain. If he's pushed in the wrong direction or if he flies off the handle then anything can happen."
