Emmerdale spoilers (January 9 to 13)

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

In next week's Emmerdale episodes, Rhona and Naomi clash again over April, but when it turns physical, Marlon takes Naomi's side.

Elsewhere, Moira, Mackenzie, Matty and Amy are taken in for questioning, while Charity obliviously invites Chloe to stay.

Here are the 13 big moments to watch.

1. April rebels

There's an obvious tension still in the air between Naomi and Rhona after Rhona accused her of being a bad influence on April.

Things get worse when Rhona discovers April has punched a boy from school and got a piercing. She decides this can only be Naomi's doing.

2. Rhona and Naomi clash

ITV

Accusing Naomi again, Rhona rages at her in the pub and soon the confrontation becomes physical.

When Marlon takes Naomi's side instead of hers, Rhona is furious. The next day, she tries to make things up with April by planning a surprise party.

3. Naomi is fired

After the clash with Rhona, Naomi returns sheepishly to the pub to find Charity and Rhona talking about her. She fears the worst.

Naomi updates Charles with the news that she has been fired, but Rhona is soon left shame-faced when April admits the belly button piercing was her own idea.

4. Arthur has a plan

ITV

After rowing with bully Marshall and punching him, April wants to help Arthur tackle him.

She and Cathy are intrigued when Arthur says he has a plan to stand up to Marshall, but will it work?

5. The police round up villagers

Fears mount when the police arrive throughout the village, cornering Amy, Moira and Mackenzie and taking them in for questioning.

Moira sticks to her story when she's asked about taking Kyle away, but in his interview with DS Malik, Mackenzie keeps quiet when asked questions about Kyle.

In another interview, Amy is panicked as she tries to remember the story and Matty is rattled when reminded of the consequences of perverting the course of justice.

6. Moira worries about Caleb's involvement

After their afternoon at the police station, Moira, Mack, Amy and Matty regroup at Butler's, as the consequences of their actions sink in.

Moira continues to worry about Caleb's involvement in Kyle's case, but he tries to reassure them he knows the risks involved and he just wants them to trust his methods.

7. Kyle confesses again

Moira is relieved when Cain agrees to speak to her again over the phone, but then her fear rises when DS Malik arrives, asking to bring Kyle back in for questioning.

At the police station, Kyle reaffirms his story – he killed Al.

8. Chloe is taken to hospital

ITV

When Chloe collapses and is taken to hospital, Sarah breaks the news to Charity and a secretly panicked Mackenzie.

Chloe's thrown when both Charity and Mackenzie arrive at her bedside and Mack listens guiltily when he realises what Chloe has been going through.

During a moment alone, Mack promises he'll do what he can to support her.

9. Charity offers Chloe a room

The next day, in a conversation with Nate, Mack denies wanting anything more to do with his child, but Nate isn't sure.

Meanwhile, Chloe prepares to leave the hospital but is shocked when Sarah and Charity turn up and offer her a place to stay.

Knowing how awkward things would be, Chloe refuses but an oblivious Charity won't take no for an answer.

10. Mackenzie tries to get rid of Chloe

Mack arrives home to find they have a new housemate, one that fills him with dread.

While he does his best to hide his panic at Chloe's arrival, he makes a plan to oust her from the house. Will it work?

11. Dawn goes back to the vets

ITV

Having struggled with her work life balance and missing out on the kids' lives, Dawn is thrilled when Rhona welcomes her back to the vets and offers her the chance to train as a veterinary nurse.

Dawn also decides to clear the air with Kim and Nicky agrees to stay on as their nanny.
