Emmerdale's Victoria Barton braces herself to deliver bad news to Moira Dingle next week.

Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) has just discovered that she has inherited land from her late grandmother Annie Sugden, but the fields in question are currently being used by Moira as part of Butler's Farm.

In Monday's episode, Victoria confides in her boyfriend Luke Posner (Max Parker) about the potentially awkward situation.

Victoria isn't sure how to broach the subject with Moira (Natalie J Robb), knowing that it could have an adverse effect on her business if she decides to take the land back.

The death of Annie Sugden was written into Emmerdale in August, as Victoria received a phone call to let her know that her gran had sadly passed away.

In real life, Sheila Mercier – who played Annie – died at the age of 100 last December. Sheila was an original cast member in Emmerdale when the show launched in 1972 and made her final appearance in the soap in 2009.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
