Emmerdale spoilers for next week follow.
DI Malone and Will Taylor's long-running feud in Emmerdale could take a deadly turn.
The two have had bad blood ever since crooked copper DI Malone (Mark Womack) blackmailed Will (Dean Andrews) back into a life of crime earlier this year.
Malone has most recently been carrying on an illicit affair with Will's fiancée Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) – and now Cain (Jeff Hordley) wrongly believes Malone was responsible for Moira's hit-and-run.
Next week, Harriet will see trouble on the horizon when a vengeful Cain starts plotting against Malone as a means of getting back at the DI over the hit-and-run, still unaware that Jamie Tate was actually to blame.
Harriet tries to convince Cain that Malone actually had nothing to do with the car crash, urging him to think twice before taking revenge against an officer of the law.

The vicar's problems multiply when Malone later makes a declaration of love to her, revealing that he cannot let her marry Will because he is still head over heels for her.
Malone puts pressure on Harriet to leave the village with him so they can start a brand new life together! With the vicar waffling, the DI takes matters into his own hands by sneaking into the garage.
When Malone goes to plant a dealer-size packet of drugs in the glove compartment of Will's car, he's caught in the act by the man himself!
A scuffle between Will and DI Malone breaks out that leaves a lifeless body in a clump on the floor of the garage. Has someone actually been killed – or is there a further twist to come?
