Emmerdale is set to air scenes next week that see Dawn Taylor doubting herself over her bond with young son Lucas.

Dawn (Olivia Bromley) will face a parenting setback when she notices that Lucas has been misbehaving ever since he left his foster family to move in with her.

When Harriet (Katherine Dow Blyton) and Will (Dean Andrews) suggest she get in contact with Lucas's social worker for some guidance, Dawn isn't thrilled by the suggestion to get in touch with the foster family for some tips on transition.

Dawn already feels insecure about Lucas seeing her foster family once again, with her doubts multiplying when she notices how well they all get along during the visit.

A chat with Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) takes an awkward turn the following day, as Dawn suspects Billy is worried about her relapsing when he suggests she seek out Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) for support.

Even though Billy tries telling Dawn she's a great mum, she circles the wagons by attempting to be even more restricting with Lucas.

Will also gets riled up when he hears about foster parents Carol and Ted's visit with Lucas — causing him to take some drastic action that could have major consequences.

Viewers already know that Will has been on edge in recent weeks after being drawn back into a life of crime by the crooked copper DI Malone (Mark Womack). What is Will capable of?
