Emmerdale's Dan Spencer is set to suffer a nasty accident as he struggles to accept help from those around him following his recent health scare.
In scenes set to air on Friday April 17, Dan (Liam Fox) returns home to his attentive adoptive daughter Amelia (Daisy Campbell) after his stint in the hospital.
Before long though, he finds his pride dented by her constant doting and insists that he can look after himself.

Amelia leaves him alone but as soon as she's gone, Dan starts to feel overwhelmed by the idea of performing even the smallest of tasks – like making a basic meal, for example. In the process, he has a mishap that causes him to yell out in pain.

Last month, the long-running ITV soap saw Dan collapse after having another severe allergic reaction to a wrap he ate in the café. When Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop) found him later on, he told her that he had terrible back pain and she called the ambulance.
Things went from bad to worse when Amelia popped in for a visit and he realised he couldn't feel the magazine she'd plonked down on his legs.
A follow-up MRI scan revealed that he had a burst fracture on one of the bones in his spine, and needed surgery.
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Friday, April 17 at 7pm on ITV.
