Emmerdale could be hinting at an on-screen romance for a real-life soap couple, as Eric Pollard looks to impress Brenda Walker.
Chris Chittell and Lesley Dunlop, who play Pollard and Brenda respectively, have been married since 2016, and although their characters were briefly in a relationship a few years ago, there are signs in next week's episodes that a reunion could be on the cards.
Scenes will see Pollard impressing Brenda with his healthy snacks, and goes as far as encouraging her to give them a try.

Jacob Gallagher notices the attention that Pollard is giving Brenda and suspects that he may have feelings for her.
And it looks like Jacob is correct in his suspicions, as Pollard soon offers to buy Brenda a drink.

Later in the week, Brenda and Pollard find Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) on the floor at the garage when he has a severe allergic reaction to one of Brenda's wraps. The allergic reaction could have a life-changing impact on Dan's life as he is rushed to hospital.
Pollard's interest in Brenda comes after Brenda's recent split with Doug Potts, who left the village for Australia last month.
Next week's episodes will also see Liam Cavanagh facing a huge ultimatum from his daughter Leanna, Jamie Tate cheating on Andrea with Belle Dingle, and Victoria Barton and Luke Posner facing a new relationship crisis.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
