Emmerdale will see a shock shooting victim, as Cain Dingle pulls the trigger to protect the farm.
In scenes airing next week, Moira (Natalie J Robb) is exhausted after staying up half of the night to keep an eye out for the rustlers.
Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) and Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins) both express shock when they learn from Moira that she signed the divorce papers, and Victoria tries to persuade Moira to speak with Cain (Jeff Hordley).
The conversation is interrupted, however, when Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) comes and warns Moira about the rustlers.
The following day, Nate offers to help Cain resolve things with Moira, but Cain doesn't take kindly to the suggestion. However, Nate later catches Cain refer to Moira as his "missus", and calls him out on it, saying that Cain must still have feelings for Moira.
Cain threatens Nate and Cara Robinson (Carryl Thomas) tries to intervene, but Nate rejects Cara's help.

Cain pays Moira a visit the next day, but they are interrupted by an outside noise. Cain and Moira are initially suspicious and investigate. To their relief, they find that the source of the noise was a broken door.
Moira then confronts Cain over the gun he has armed himself with. Cain refuses to answer, and Moira claims that Cain still has feelings for her. Cain decides to leave and search the fields, leaving Moira frustrated.
While outside, Cain discovers the dead body of a sheep. Cain is alarmed and takes his gun out, as he hurries back to the barn where Moira is. In the dark, Cain sees the figure of a man getting close to Moira. It looks to be a rustler, and Cain aims and shoots.
Moments later, Cain and Moira are both shocked when they find out who Cain shot...
Emmerdale airs these scenes in the week commencing Monday, February 17 on ITV.
