Emmerdale will delve deeper into Lydia Hart's backstory tonight (November 7) as the mystery of her unknown benefactor is resolved.
Lydia (Karen Blick) knows that she has been left a significant sum of money, but has been robbed of her chance to find out more thanks to Mandy Dingle's brazen decision to claim the cash for herself.
In tonight's double bill, Mandy desperately tries to redeem herself with the help of her "son" Vinny (Bradley Johnson).
The scheming pair decide to head back to the solicitor's office to get the information they need, despite the obvious risks of getting caught up to no good.

When Lydia and Sam find out what's going on, they head along for the trip too. Lydia is nervous about being embroiled in a Dingle scam, but is intrigued when Mandy tells her that the money came from a family member.

At the solicitor's office, Mandy and her co-conspirators pose as health and safety officers and blag their way into the building.
Once inside, they rifle through files and paperwork, until they stumble across the all-important information they're looking for.
Lydia is surprised to learn who left her the money, but with more questions than answers, what will her next move be?

Lisa Riley, who plays Mandy, recently teased: "Mandy becomes like Miss Marple! She will not stop as she tries to figure out where this money has come from. The light-bulb goes off for Mandy and she realises that this is her way of saying sorry.
"Mandy, Vinny, Lydia and Sam visit the solicitor's office and pose as health and safety officers. Mandy has a clipboard, they're wearing high-vis jackets and the poor guy literally buckles. I had this two-page scene of me wearing him down!"
Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.
