Emmerdale businessman Jai Sharma continues to struggle tonight (September 27) after the sad news of Rachel Breckle's death.
Jai (Chris Bisson) is determined to do the right thing by his young son Archie following the death of his mum, but isn't making any progress with him so far.
In tonight's episode, Jai tells his partner Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) that he won't be attending Rachel's funeral later that day.
Jai doesn't want to be part of Rachel's send-off since they were far from friendly last time they saw each other, but Laurel thinks he's making a mistake.

Laurel suggests that Archie might want to hear about the service when he's older, so offers to look after him for the day while Jai attends.
