Emmerdale has confirmed Dawn Taylor's new love interest.
Olivia Bromley, who plays Dawn on the ITV soap, previously hinted at a romantic storyline for her character, but spoilers for next week have now revealed more details about what fans can expect.
In scenes airing next week, Dawn is encouraged by Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) to ask Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) out. And it's good news for Dawn: Billy says yes to a lunch date.
Will the date lead to something more serious?
Bromley said on ITV's Lorraine earlier this month that soap romances are often "short-lived".
"At the moment, this is the first time in her storyline that she sees maybe a glimmer of hope that there could be a family unit there for her, which is what she's been waiting for so long," she shared at the time.

"And potentially, there might be a little bit of romance for her, a little bit of joy."
Viewers have seen Dawn and Billy bonding in occasional scenes, although Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) has also been a potential love interest for Billy recently.
Emmerdale currently airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
