Tonight's episode of Emmerdale saw Megan Macey (Gaynor Faye) shock the village with a major announcement, following the funeral of her former partner Frank Clayton.
Frank died under heroic circumstances earlier this month when he saved his daughter Tracy Metcalfe from a fire at the Sharma & Sharma sweet factory.
However, police have been misled into thinking Frank caused the fire himself, after the real culprit Kerry Wyatt shifted the blame onto him.
During the funeral tonight, Megan was left stunned when Tracy shared with her the ring box she believed Frank was trying to retrieve from the fire.
Slipping the ring on, Megan instantly broke down in tears after learning more about Frank's tragic death.
With the villagers present at the funeral service, Tracy took the opportunity to try and prove Frank's innocence, but she was left furious when Venessa refused to support her claims in front of the congregation.

After delivering some harsh words to everyone in the church, Megan then announced that she would be leaving Emmerdale. She didn't actually depart in tonight's episode, but we know she'll be true to her word.
Gaynore Faye confirmed earlier this year that she would be leaving the ITV soap in order to "push [herself] out of [her] comfort zone".
"I’ve been on the show for over six years and have naturally reached a point where I’d like to do some other stuff," she explained to OK!.
Emmerdale currently airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
