EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders' Whitney Dean will learn her fate next week, as her murder trial finally reaches a conclusion.

Whitney (Shona McGarty) is due to appear in court over this fortnight for the death of Leo King back in February.

After multiple setbacks in the first few days of the trial, Whitney is implored by Gray – who is no longer representing her – to tell the truth in her final statements.

Despite her attempts to stay positive, Whitney's future looks increasingly uncertain when her QC comes down with food poisoning at the most crucial point on the trial.

As the court descends into chaos as a result, it soon becomes apparent that there is only one person who can step up for the final statements – Gray.

Thankfully, a dishevelled Gray manages to show up at the court just in the nick of time, but whether he will be able to help Whitney is another matter.

Later in the week, the day of reckoning arrives for Whitney as she awaits the verdict, but what will it be?
