EastEnders' Rainie Cross (Tanya Franks) and Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ) are about to head down the aisle, but all soap fans know that weddings rarely go smoothly in soapland – and this ceremony will be no exception.
When the big day dawns, there is a mix-up with Rainie's wedding dress, before the hearse that Stuart is travelling to the venue in suffers an electrical fault and locks him in.
Actress Tanya has revealed that stressed Rainie will be furious about the problems, because she's been so excited about the wedding finally arriving that she's desperate for it to all go as planned.

"She's hugely excited about the wedding," Tanya said. "But she's nervous and wants it all to go to plan. She really wants this wedding to happen. She's nervous that anything possible could go wrong.
"This is a dream come true for her, this is a proper wedding for love and she never thought in her life that she would ever really find that so it's huge."

When Rainie finds out about her future husband's predicament, she is fuming and becomes convinced that the wedding "is not going to happen and it would just be her luck".
"She can't believe it," she said. "She's on full throttle to really try and sort this out. But she desperately needs this wedding to go through."

Tanya said that Rainie's anger at Stuart is based on his decision to choose the hearse as a wedding vehicle, despite knowing that it has electrical issues.
"She's angry at him for doing something really stupid," she said. "Using the hearse that has the electrical problem, she's hugely mad at him about that. How could he possibly do that, out of all the cars that he could have chosen... why choose the one that's got the electrical problems?
"That is just so typical that he wouldn't have thought that through. So yeah, that fuels her fire."
Despite the wedding day disasters facing them, Tanya reckons that Rainie and Stuart can "last the distance" as a couple, explaining that being in lockdown together showed them that they are "two peas in a pod" and saying that "nobody's loved [Rainie] like Stuart's loved her".

Tanya explained that Rainie and Stuart are such a strong couple because "they are both pariahs" who struggle to accept themselves.
"They are both characters that have been alienated and have a lot of their own demons," she said. "They can see that in each other so they can support each other. They could support wanting to change each other for the better.
"That's what their big connecting factor is. That's what their love is really built on, it's a huge supporting change system. Plus they're physically mad about each other as well. They can't keep their hands off each other."
EastEnders airs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on BBC One.
