EastEnders spoilers for the week of Monday, September 7 follow.
EastEnders' executive producer Jon Sen promised a showdown between Stacey Fowler and best friend Ruby Allen this autumn.
Lacey Turner is set to return to the soap following her maternity leave, with Stacey set to find out that estranged husband Martin Fowler (James Bye) has fallen for Ruby (Louisa Lytton).
When Digital Spy and other media recently chatted with Sen, he hinted that there will also be a mystery to solve ahead of Stacey reappearing on the Square.

"The big one [to look forward to] is Stacey – we have been waiting for her to come back," he told us. "Lacey is amazing and part of EastEnders history and we have really missed her energy in the Slaters so the first two weeks we tease a mystery – where is Stacey?

"Are all of these things on the going on the Square to do with her? Then she's back with a bang. There are some fantastic Ruby Vs Stacey scenes – and we can't wait to find out what Stacey does when she discovers what has been going on between Martin and Ruby. As a return that is a big moment."
James Bye has previously confirmed on EastEnders: Secrets From the Square that Martin and Ruby's budding relationship only "grows" stronger when the new episodes resume.
"We've got some information... the hairs went up on my arm – and that's just the story that I'm involved in," he teased.
Fans can hear more about what's ahead for the Slaters and Fowlers when Lacey Turner and Jessie Wallace appear on next week's Secrets from the Square.
EastEnders resumes new episodes on Monday, September 7 at 8.05pm on BBC One.
