Peter Beale is about to drive a wedge in Jay Brown and Lola Pearce's relationship in EastEnders.
The couple have only recently got back on solid footing following their disagreements over Lola's decision to terminate her pregnancy. Next week, there will be a new complication in their relationship.
Jay (Jamie Borthwick) is clueless that Lola (Danielle Harold) is very uncomfortable over his decision to hire Peter (Dayle Hudson) as Callum's (Tony Clay) replacement at the funeral home.
Trouble will escalate when Peter walks in on Lola sharing a romantic kiss with Jay, and later tells his boss he's glad the couple are back on track following their recent rough patch.
Jay becomes suspicious of how Peter knows about his relationship troubles. When he questions Lola, she admits to telling Peter about having an abortion.
Lola is very surprised that Jay is supportive of her friendship with ex-boyfriend Peter, only making her more nervous of Peter's actual motives.

Peter has recently been involved in another love triangle with Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero) and his own younger brother Bobby (Clay Milner Russell).
While Bobby has eyes for Dotty, she has been much more interested in Peter — though Peter has warned her off coming anywhere near their family.
Peter also has no idea that Dotty knows the truth about his father Ian's involvement in young Dennis Rickman's death on the boat this past February.
EastEnders will air the next phase of Lola, Peter and Jay's conflict when the soap continues next Monday (May 11) at 8pm and Tuesday (May 12) at 7.30pm on BBC One.
