EastEnders' Ian Beale will hatch a plan after his grief-stricken friend Sharon Mitchell makes a devastating decision next week.
Sharon's life has been turned upside down by the tragic death of her teenage son Dennis, who died in last month's boat accident on the Thames.
Upcoming scenes will see Sharon (Letitia Dean) make some heartbreaking choices over her future ahead of Dennis's funeral.
As Sharon continues to struggle with the enormity of her loss, she ends up breaking down while talking to Linda about the funeral plans.
Worried, Linda offers to look after Kayden but is left uncomfortable when she bumps into Karen.
Wanting to support her friend as much as she can, Linda later accompanies Sharon to register Kayden's birth, but the day takes a sad turn when Sharon receives a call to say Dennis's body is being released.
