A police officer visits Carl in ITU and returns his bag. Carl is horrified to find the £18k cash in his bag replaced with strips of paper.
Kevin tells Abi that Carl was driving when he crashed and he can't understand why Debbie is lying. Carl arrives back on the street, hellbent on finding Abi and his money.
The police interview Debbie. She sticks to Carl's story, saying Carl felt ill and she took over driving. Debbie's heart sinks when the officer reveals her blood test showed she was over the limit.
Meanwhile, in the hospital corridor, Jodie bumps into David and enquires after the baby. David and Shona gaze lovingly at Harper, fervently hoping that her diagnosis will bring some better news. Unbeknown to them, Jodie watches them from the corridor.
Elsewhere, at the station, Lisa offloads to Kit about Becky, how she was totally taken in by her and now she fears she may have lost Carla forever.
