Life in Walford changed forever when Martin lost his life in the dramatic 40th anniversary episodes.
Our sneak peek at Martin's send-off saw some old and new faces in the mix. Jasmine Armfield is back for a guest appearance as Martin's daughter Bex, while Alice Haig has taken over the role of his niece Vicki.
Meanwhile, Casualty star Alex Walkinshaw has been cast as Vicki's boyfriend Ross, while Max Murray has landed the role of Ross's son Joel.

Hollyoaks exit for Maxine Minniver
Hollyoaks star Nikki Sanderson has quit the Channel 4 soap after 12 years playing the role of Maxine Minniver.
Reports have revealed that she'll film her final scenes in March ahead of an on-screen exit in May.
In an interview this week, Nikki confirmed that she wants to "embrace the instability of not knowing what's next".

Home and Away's dramatic double kidnap in Dean and Ziggy storyline
Home and Away airs Dean Thompson and Ziggy Astoni's return scenes in Australia next week – with a dramatic kidnap story on the way.
Actors Patrick O'Connor and Sophie Dillman filmed a short return stint last year, as the long-running soap shot some special scenes away from Summer Bay.
It's now been revealed that Mackenzie Booth and Levi Fowler will pay a visit to Queensland to see Dean and Ziggy.
The trip ends in disaster when Ziggy and Mackenzie are both kidnapped by escaped prisoners.
The scenes air on Channel 5 in the UK in April.

Home and Away legend Lynne McGranger has been sharing more details about Irene Roberts' exit storyline this week.
Lynne shocked the soap world last weekend as she announced plans to leave her role as Irene Roberts after nearly 33 years.
The popular star has now confirmed that she crafted her own exit storyline, which will be a powerful watch for fans when it plays out later this year.
"I can't tell you about it — the audience will have to wait and see — but I went and spoke to the producers and the head writer and ran it past them, and they loved (my idea)," she told The West Australian.
